LEAF is a dedicated Forum of Engineers and Architects who are members of Lions Clubs International registered as a society .

Our Foundation

The foundation of LEAF was laid on 15th September 2002, during the celebration of Engineers Day organized by Lions Clubs District 324C3 at Lions Bhavan, Secunderabad. This special day commemorated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s most distinguished engineers and visionaries.

The event was presided over by District Governor Lion Er. Chander Pokala, with Er. Sana Maruthi, Chief Engineer of the Sriram Sagar Project, serving as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The Lions Club of Secunderabad Vivekanandapuram had the honor of hosting this memorable celebration.

Birth of LEAF

During this event, an informal association of engineers from various Lions Clubs was initiated. This association later evolved into a formal organization — the Lion Engineers and Architects Forum (LEAF) — aimed at bringing together engineering and architectural professionals within the Lions fraternity to contribute their expertise for community development.

Our Vision and Milestones

The Lion Engineers and Architects Forum (LEAF) was established with a clear purpose — to bring together engineering and architectural professionals from the Lions fraternity to contribute their technical expertise for community development.

The objectives of LEAF were thoughtfully formulated and aligned with the core mission and values of Lions Clubs International, ensuring that every initiative undertaken reflects the spirit of service, integrity, and professional excellence.

Inauguration and Recognition

LEAF was formally inaugurated by Er. G. Prabhakar, President of The Institution of Engineers (India), marking a significant milestone in the journey of the organization.

To further strengthen its identity and operational framework, LEAF was registered as the “LEAF Association” on 14th November 2011 under the Societies Registration Act, 2001, with the Government of Telangana.

This registration not only formalized LEAF’s structure but also empowered it to expand its reach and impact through organized initiatives, professional collaborations, and service-oriented projects.
